Stephen Dinsmore is a Nebraska-based artist whose paintings display the importance of representational art in expressing visual poetry. Stemming from his Nebraska roots, Dinsmore’s painting borders on an abstract synthesis of several sources to convey a distinct sense of place and time.

Artist’s Statement
“Maine is my favorite place to paint. I find the light, the air, the lobster boats , the spruce, seals, clam diggers, the bays, and life in a coastal town all inspiration for my work. Of course, the pups appear in paintings and still life work appears regularly. It all works for me.
