Claire Cushman at The Claremont Hotel

Earlier this summer I had the opportunity to meet gallery artist Claire Cushman at the newly renovated Claremont Hotel in Southwest Harbor when I was up on Mount Desert Island for an art delivery. Claire had just finished 30 paintings for the hotel’s reopening and it was wonderful to be able to tour a portion of the beautifully renovated hotel with her.

I connected Claire with Laura Pierce of Keeler & Co., one of the designers at the helm of this expansive redesign, just over a year ago, so it was especially fulfilling to see the introduction come full circle with the installation of Claire’s Maine landscapes throughout the guest rooms and cottages.
