Guest Picks from our Fall Floral Collection
We asked nine friends of the gallery who work in the design field to select their favorite works from our Sometimes You Bring Me Flowers collection, and we couldn't be more excited to share their selections with you! It is a true joy to see the pieces from our floral collection through the eyes of these nine talented female business owners, women whose work I've admired throughout the last three years of operating The Willard Gallery.
We hope you'll take a moment to read through their thoughtful responses to our floral works and then browse their websites or follow along with their work on Instagram.
"There's something about a diminutive piece of artwork that I find irresistible. Smaller scale works are perfect to enliven unexpected spaces. The scattered seashells in this piece are especially charming."
- Lindsay Speace
"This beautiful painting quickly caught my eye as it feels very 'me!' To me, this painting represents exactly how I want my home to look and feel: happy and full of pattern and color."
- Nan Philip
"I love seeing the relaxed optimism of summer - the time when you can pick freely from the garden and toss it all together, and it falls just so."
- Laura Keeler Pierce
"I love the cee and she ceramic vases, they are so unique and beautiful. They easily stand on their own as a piece of work, and their beauty would only be enhanced with a seasonal arrangement."
- Samantha S. Pappas
"If my pup could describe her ideal summer day, it would look just like this."
- Heather O’Day
"I am a big floral fan and what I love about this piece is it abstracts one of my favorite flowers into a joyful feeling that can be enjoyed at any moment, rather than just seasonally."
- Emily Butler
"The dark background against the bright palette of the flowers in Summer Bouquet is so lively, the contrast really brings it to life and I would love to see this placed in a study."
- Audrey Remmert
"I'm naturally drawn to ceramics and this vessel is both lyrical and contemporary."
- Phoebe Cole
"The colors in this painting make me happy, and I also love to see artists' interpretations of the patterns in wallpaper & fabric in their artwork."
- Kate Hutchison
