Harpswell Project w/ Samantha S. Pappas

As always, it is such a treat to be able to see how collectors live with the art that they find from the artists at The Willard Gallery. When interior designers are involved with helping their clients select artwork, the chances of us seeing photos of the work on the walls of their new home is even greater as the photos often appear in their design portfolios.

I’m always blown away by how Maine interior designer, Samantha S. Pappas, incorporates art into her clients’ homes, layering it seamlessly on top of the various textiles, colors, and patterns she chooses for the furnishings throughout her projects. Samantha is not afraid to mix art with colorful, pattern-filled rooms and we are continually in awe to see how she uses our artists’ work in her designs.

Case in point: the three Stephen Dinsmore landscapes below beautifully complement the Imogen Heath drapery and coordinating textiles in this bedroom she designed for a home in Harpswell. Just down the hall in the daughter’s room, an abstracted landscape by artist Claire Cushman is the perfect work of art to pull out the colors of the room’s bedroom, not to mention the Zak + Fox pattern carefully selected by Samantha.
